 It
is rare when two young men take what has been hard earned
and try to give back something to those that initially helped
create their opportunities. Daniel
Cronin and Robert
Molinaro — seen at right at the 1st
Hair O' The Dog waaaaaaaaaay back in 1995 — have lived
this business credo for almost 15 years.
They
initially invested $10,000 into a telecom start-up and by
1998 were ranked as the 38th fastest growing business in
the region. The investment back into the community stems
from their love of appreciating those who have been involved
in their success.
In
1994, Daniel and Robert threw a party after the holiday
season to thank everyone who was partially responsible for
their incredible start. At the party, these men decided
that their love of fun, combined with their whip-smart business
sense could generate income for non-profits through fundraising.
From this thinking, the Hair O' The Dog was born.
Dan
and Rob originally met in homeroom at the tender age of
14. Growing up in Northern Jersey and attending the same
high school, the duo formed a bond usually reserved for
brothers. At the end of high school they went their separate
ways — Dan to Duquesne University and Rob to Iona
College. Who would have imagined that the two would be in
business together for 15 years after graduation? (actually,
Dan did!).
After
graduation, Dan convinced Rob that it was imperative to
intertwine their careers — with a vision that they
would become a force to be reckoned with in the telecom
industry. Little did they know that they would become just
as hot on the event circuit!
 The
Rob Molinaro File
Rob is the determined and disciplined half of this dynamic
duo. Bringing with him the values instilled by his first
generation Italian family, Rob provides the driving consistency
that makes the event work year after year.
His
love of good times and passion for integrity creates the
persistence that drives the Hair O' The Dog staff to pursue
the quality of the event.
With
Dan as the creative force behind the event, Rob unquestionably
serves as the operational genius, managing the minutia of
each detail.

Dan Cronin File
Being native Bronx Irish, Dan prides himself on his Irish
heritage. His immediate family resides in the states but
many of his extended family still live in Ireland —
providing an ongoing influence through music, tradition
and humor. His love of music and desire for socializing
has served him well in the event industry.
Known
for his kind heart and generous spirit Dan is the ultimate
"Party Boy." Although he is often the "life
of the party" in any circle, he posseses an amazingly
firm foundation. He enjoys the "scene" but also
is a dedicated family man with a few fine pups of his own.
Dan
not only generates the enthusiasm behind the party, but
the daring spirit to grow the event to its incredible potential.
