The Dog is Back... and This Year, He's Bad to the Bone!

The 14th Annual Hair O' the Dog presented by Coca-Cola is on it's way — Saturday, January 12, 2008 to be exact.

For those of you who've experienced the fun and wild times before, you know the drill: great music, swanky venue, tasty food, and top shelf booze, all mixed together with a few thousand sexy people dressed to the nines!

For those of you who have never been to The Hair O' the Dog, this is the year for you to jump to the front of the line and join the party.

It's In the Details...

Get your dresses cleaned, tuxes pressed, your dancing shoes buffed, and have yourself another rockin' good time down on the Philly waterfront!

Philadelphia legendary 93.3 WMMR is back again to help make certain that 2008 will bring the most spectacular Hair O' the Dog yet.

This year local favorites, Mr. Greengenes and rising national sensation, DJ Brendan Bring 'Em promise to deliver high intensity entertaiment with the best in party music. Consider yourself warned: be ready to wag your tail off!

So come out and lap up all the free top-shelf drinks you can. Drinks are served in glasses, although dog bowls are usually available upon request.

Black Tie is optional — though if The Dog can wear one, you can too.

This year, we've got a couple of cool new twists as well:

  • The Dog is stoked to have Coca-Cola select this event as their major Philadelphia area launch of their innovative new aluminum bottles of Coca-Cola Classic and Coke Zero. This new design is modern interpretation of the classic glass contour bottle in aluminum form, imparting a chilled sensory experience unlike anything before… and you, the friends of The Dog get to try it first! Either "straight-up" or mixed with something special like Captain Morgan, we know you will be in for a tasty, refreshing treat.
  • Check out some of the hottest choppers courtesy of Von Dutch Kustom Cycles of New Jersey. See these amazing bikes up close and personal, and if you decide to purchase one these cycles, a donation will be made to this year's official charity. This year's Hair O' the Dog program book features our beautiful model on top of one amazing Von Dutch cycle... check it out!
  • Speaking of our annual Program Book: we will once again be sending copies of this keepsake to all attendees along with the copy of special remix CD courtesy of our DJ extrordinaire, Brendan Bring 'Em. A portion of the proceeds from this year's Hair O' the Dog will be donated to PAWS: Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society.

PAWS is dedicated to promoting public welfare and to saving the lives of Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals. Each year, nearly 30,000 homeless animals are killed in the City of Philadelphia simply because they are unloved or unwanted. PAWS is committed to returning Philadelphia to a model of compassion by leading Philadelphia in becoming a "No Kill" city, in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.

  • Top-shelf open-bar with specialty drink bars 9:00pm - 1:30am, although the dog will keep howling until 2:00am.
  • VIP Tickets also include FREE Admission to the after-hours party at Zee Bar

VIP Premium with Ultra-Luxe Table Service - LIMITED TICKETS REMAINING

  • For those of you craving even more deluxe service, The Dog is offering a VIP Premium package which includes ultra-luxe table service. Available only in groups of four tickets ($800 per table of 4), VIP Premium Service eliminates the need to stand in any bar line as you will be served table-side by your personal waitress while living it up in the VIP room.

General Admission Description

  • Access to the main event with entertainment provided by Mr. Greengenes and DJ Brendan Bring 'Em.
  • Stationed hors d' oeuvres to keep you fueled for fun — topped off with coffee and dessert as the evening unwinds.
  • Top-shelf open-bar 9:00pm – 1:30am
  • Dancing 'til your dogs are barkin' through 2:00am.

After Hours Party Description

  • All attendees of HOD08 are invited to join The Dog at Philadelphia's newest and most exclusive after-hours venue — Zee Bar.
  • Admission for the after-hours party is free with your VIP Ticket. VIP Attendees must have on their VIP tags and wristbands (given at the event) to gain free access to Zee Bar. Do not lose VIP tag or remove your wristband! 
  • Zee Bar is a private social club open to members only. The Dog is excited to be able to offer this special, one-time invite to his closest friends!
  • Admission for the after-hours party at Zee Bar is $15 per person.
  • Tickets for our General Admission guests will be available for purchase for the after-hours party at Zee Bar the night of event on a limited basis.
  • Fashioned as an upscale venue, the Zee Bar would rival any destination club found in South Beach, New York or Las Vegas with its cherry wood floors, marble bars, fireplaces and a sound system that will keep DJ Benja Styles spinning with intensity.
  • Zee Bar will be decked out beginning 1:30 am for all of our attendees with plenty of music and libations to keep you howling till the 6:00 am in the morning!
